If anyone is curious, here's the order I installed the mods to get the above:
- modloader
- AudioMod
- OptiFine
- water shader
- water shader optifine fix
- Matmos
- minimap
- sphax skin
- delete meta-inf folder in the minecraft.bin
Back your stuff up beforehand!
